We aim to attract, develop and retain talent. In line with this, we have been running a successful graduate programme since 2012, with a total of over 20 graduate interns having gone through the programme. In 2017, we will be proud to once again host the top seven interns.

JLL and Tétris South Africa Graduate Programme

A 24-month programme running from January to December of each year at the JLL offices in Rosebank. The programme provides graduates with the opportunity to learn from the various specialised disciplines in the business, allowing you to obtain real property experience within the departments in which you are placed, for the first time ever, the 2018 programme will provide the selected graduates with the exclusive opportunity to become technically and professionally RICS qualified. This will include guidance and assistance on the requirements, competencies, professional development, timelines and resources in order to achieve a RICS qualification. The APC ("Assessment of Professional Competency") is the practical training and experience which, when combined with academic qualifications, leads to RICS membership. The objective of the APC is to ensure that our graduates are competent to practise as a Chartered Surveyor. The JLL and Tétris South Africa 2018 Graduate Programme therefore aims to produce candidate inaRICS pathway at JLL, you are likely to gain extensive experience within all our rotations, including a period of structured training; a final assessment interview and a case study. This means that as an intern, you get the opportunity to work in a different department for 6 months  over two years for holistic exposure to the business.

The programme encompasses:

  • An Assessment of Professional Competency (APC) 
  • An opportunity to sit for the RICS membership interview​ (if completed with success)​
  • Mentorship and coaching by industry experts 
  • Business acumen and work readines
  • Opportunities to be involved in current and future deals​​​​

Types of tra​ining offered during the programme:

In addition to on-the-job training, both direct technical and soft skills training courses are offered. These are based on business specific requirements and are in line with the intern's development in his/her specific role. The 2018 programme will also provide expert guidance and assistance on the requirements, competencies, professional development, timelines and resources in order to achieve a RICS qualification. The objective of the APC is to ensure that our graduates are competent to practise as a Chartered Surveyor in their chosen pathway. The JLL and Tétris South Africa 2018 Graduate Programme aims to produce candidates in the RICS Commercial Property, Valuations and Project Management pathway.

The programme will yield a SAQA Accredited Qualification in Real Estate and eligibility to register with the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors (RICS) body for the applicable pathway chosen.
