Vacancy: Senior Valuer

As the JLL Valuations division continues to expand, a vacancy has become available for a qualified senior valuer and team leader responsible for negotiating work, carrying out valuations and reporting to the client.


​JLL South Africa’s Valuation division has been in existence for three years. In this time it has grown to become recognised name in the valuation field both locally and in the rest of Africa. Valuations and feasibility studies are carried out for many of the country’s top REITS, banks and property developers. Valuations are performed in accordance with international standards, by professional valuers and chartered valuation surveyors.

Primary responsibilities include:​

  • Prepare expert reports on the valuation of income producing properties, including offices, shopping centres, industrial, hotels and development land.​
  • Have a working knowledge of discounted cash flow (Cougar), income capitalisation, depreciated replacement cost and residual land value methods of valuation.
  • Attend client presentations.
  • Act as project leader and mentor to junior staff members.
  • Travel into the rest of Africa (this could be occasional or frequent depending on work load).
  

Skills and experience:

  • ​Chartered Valuation Surveyor/ Professional/Associated Valuer.
  • 5 years post qualification experience in the valuation of all property types.
  • Excellent people and communication skills.
  • Excel and Word skills.
  • Experience in the use of ‘Cougar’ is essential.
