Mark Dunford promoted to Head: JLL East Africa

Vice President Hotels & Hospitality, East Africa now Head: JLL East Africa

EXCO at JLL SSA are pleased to announce the promotion of Mark Dunford to his new role as Head: JLL East Africa.

Dunford is a Swiss/Kenyan national who holds a BS HES-SO in Hospitality Management from École Hôtelière de Lausanne and possesses more than 10 years of experience in real estate and hotel advisory internationally, across Africa and in the Indian Ocean region. He cites some of his key career highlights as being accommodation advisor for both the Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020 Summer Olympics.

In rounding up Dunford’s comprehensive background in various assets of the hospitality and real estate industries, his suitability for this new role is undoubtable. His previous experience includes having provided strategic advice on hospitality and hotel development projects in over 50 countries for a Swiss Hospitality Advisory firm; working as Development Director for a Singaporean private equity fund; his employment at a Hotels & Resorts group heading up the brand growth and asset portfolios, and being responsible for asset sales and acquisitions in the London offices of JLL when he initially joined the firm.

Although Dunford will continue to head up the Hotels & Hospitality division in East Africa for the remainder of this year, he will also take on the additional responsibilities of overseeing the East Africa region as their official head; focusing on strategic growth, business development, talent management and driving revenue growth.
