Head of Valuation: Sub Saharan Africa
Joshua’s illustrious career spans over a decade and includes valuing properties in Sub-Saharan Africa, Germany, Turkey, Russia and the UK to name a few. He has invaluable experience which has been gained in his 13 years since qualifying as a Chartered Surveyor in the UK. Josh as he is known in the Sub-Saharan office has led instructions valuing for International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), transactional purposes and listed entities with portfolio values as high as $4.5 billion.
Joshua joined the Sub-Saharan Africa Valuation team as head in 2017.
Considering the significance of internationally recognised standards in the valuation arena, his thirteen-year post-qualification experience primarily in the valuation of intercontinental mixed-use schemes is invaluable.
Josh spent six years in Moscow and has valued properties in SSA, Germany, Turkey, Russia, Kazakhstan, Mongolia, Georgia and Ukraine as well as the UK.
Josh has also appeared twice as an expert witness in the London Court of International Arbitration to give evidence related to valuations conducted in Russia and the CIS.
He has lead instructions valuing for International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS), loan security, transactional purposes and listed entities with portfolio values as high as $4.5 billion.
Josh joined the UK team in 2013 as a key member of the UK National Specialist Retail Valuation team focused on valuing prime and secondary shopping centres, retail parks and leisure properties.
He was also head of Compliance and Risk Management for JLL’s UK Valuation Business.
Josh runs a 10-week, 10 lecture APC Valuation Boot Camp programme within JLL for candidates soon to sit their APC interviews.
